Carla H of Fairshadow Photography is amazingly talented. She has a wealth of great ideas and fun concepts, combined with the creative eye and years of experience necessary to make them happen. She has immense skill, but always remains both humble and professional. Fun to work with and a delight to spend time in the presence of, I don’t know anyone who hasn’t enjoyed every shoot that they’ve had with her. You’ll rarely find someone whose word-of-mouth praise is higher. If this tells you anything, as a photographer myself I’m both possessive and controlling of my camera, but when I need to entrust someone else to take a photo with it, it’s her hands that I put it in. I consider her to be a peer in every sense of the word and I never feel competitive or threatened by her success. She’s an artist and I love to see her work.
In addition to being a superb photographer, she’s also an incredible friend. Trusting, loyal, kind and always understanding, she makes everyone around her excited to be a part of her life. I consider myself lucky to be able to call her a close friend, and although we don’t get to hang out nearly as much as we would like to due to family, work and other obligations, whenever we do it’s like we’ve always known each other and can talk about anything. That’s a rare feeling for me.
I know that we will continue to work and grow together as artists, and I couldn’t ask for a better collaborator. That we will continue to be friends for all of that time is a given.
