Day 1 - L'école de la mode preview

With all of my classes this semester, I've allowed my personal work to flag behind and I've decided that this is simply unacceptable. Thus, to force myself to take at least one new photo each day, I'm going to do my first real 365 and I intend on keeping to it. This may mean a bunch of lame-o self-portraits or images of Inara's toys. I apologize in advance for the crap on the days where I didn't leave the house. But, on the plus side there will also be days where I have amazing images to share, like today!

 

These images are from L'école de la mode, which was fashion designer Samantha Rei of Blasphemina's Closet's first solo show, and it was amazing. Beautiful clothing, gorgeous models and a truly fantastic band, <a href="http://iamskittish.com/">Skittish</a> (seriously, they're one of the only bands whose sticker adorns the very valuable real estate on the back of my laptop). Samantha is one of my very dearest friends and she is truly an inspiration to me. She works so hard and creates such outstanding art so often. She tops herself constantly and I'm always being blown away by the beauty that comes out of her head. I know that this show is only the beginning of many solo shows for her and I hope I'll get the chance to be there for the whole crazy ride!
